ShopKnuckleheads: On This Day in History
Lucille Ball was born today In Jamestown, New York in 1911. Lucy left us in 1989 and is regarded as the Queen of Comedy.
Her appearance as Daisy Simms in Three Little Pigskins was her only direct work with The Three Stooges, although she appeared in Columbia’s 1934 compilation Hollywood Party as did The Boys.
In this shot from Three Little Pigskins, that’s Lucy in front, with Gertie Green in the middle and then Phyllis Crane, who worked with Larry, Moe & Curly in several shorts with her most memorable role probably as Nurse Anna Conda in Men In Black.
