ShopKnuckleheads: On This Day in History
News today from ShopKnuckleheads-Today we have another Birthday Celebration!
Supporting cast member Stanley Brown was born in Calgary (Canada) on August 18th in 1914. All but one of Stanley’s 120 career credits were all between 1937 and 1945, including his appearances with The Three Stooges. That’s over a film a month! He did a lot of Westerns and here’s a shot from The Fighting Buckaroos. That’s Stanley being helped along by Kay Harris and Charles Starrett, both of whom starred in many an oater during the 1940’s.
Although he only worked with The Boys six times, he was able to spread out his appearances among a solo Shemp short, four roles in shorts with Larry, Moe & Curly and an appearance in the 1941 feature Time Our For Rhythm…Which has the famous Maharaja bit.
