Larry Fine was born today, October 5th, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1902 which makes this a big day in Three Stooges history. Today he would be 119! Larry, along with Moe, was there for all the iterations of The Three Stooges. He was there from Soup To Nuts in 1930 to Kook’s Tour, filmed in late 1969 and released in February 1970; less than one month after Larry’s debilitating stroke.
He was there with Healy. He was there with Moe and Shemp and Curly and Joe and Curly Joe. He was there on the vaudeville stage, for the MGM shorts, all 190 Columbia shorts, the 1965 cartoon series, their TV guest appearances and all their feature films.
Fortunately, he’s still with us, at least on film, VHS and DVD so we and future generations can enjoy and laugh at the wild and wonderful antics he performed with The Three Stooges!
